A Pole Apple presents a partly eaten apple whose natural stem has been replaced by a bent copper tube. The familiar remains of the fruit are interrupted by an industrial element, creating an improbable hybrid between organic matter and infrastructure.

The missing flesh records an act of consumption, while the pipe appears to connect the discarded apple to an unseen mechanical system. A decommissioned traffic sign forms the body of the sculpture, and layers of pigment and translucent resin recreate red skin, exposed flesh and areas of bruising. The visible openings and metal tubing prevent the fruit from becoming a complete illusion.
