Giant Berries magnifies a cluster of raspberries, blueberries and blackberries until the smallest fruits become the dominant subject. Removed from their usual scale, they form a dense composition in which colour, abundance and visual attraction compete for attention.
The circular form of a decommissioned traffic sign becomes an oversized plate, while layers of pigment and translucent resin give the berries their saturated colour and moist appearance. Rather than showing decay or abandonment, the work examines the seductive side of abundance: the moment before attraction becomes excess.
