When Pop Art Leaves the Wall
Some of the objects that make up this artwork have already travelled thousands of miles before arriving here.
Collected from beaches and urban environments, discarded materials destined to disappear have been transformed into a new visual narrative where painting, sculpture and installation coexist within the same space.
Mediterranean Ride tells the story of a journey, but above all, it tells the story of a second chance.
Rewriting Directions
The signs were not built from scratch.
They originate from discarded road signs that were recovered and manually transformed.
Heated, bent and rebuilt, they lost their original function and began pointing toward new destinations: real places, personal memories and imaginary journeys.
The signs are not decorative elements.
They were hand-built from discarded road signs, cut, heated and reshaped to create a personal geography connected to the story of the people portrayed in the artwork.
ScooBob Art
Mediterranean Ride is the first step of a new artistic direction: a hybrid Pop language where painting, sculpture and reclaimed objects become one single visual experience.
What appears at first as a colorful family ride is in fact built from discarded materials, abandoned objects and fragments collected from the environment.
Each element carries a previous life.
Through the artwork, it starts moving again.
