Me l’ha Mangiata depicts an apple consumed almost completely, leaving only its core, damaged flesh and a narrow band of red skin. Unlike an abandoned fruit marked by a single bite, this is the residue of an appetite that has taken nearly everything.

A polished door handle replaces the apple’s natural stem, turning the familiar leftover into an improbable domestic and industrial assemblage. The body is formed from a decommissioned traffic sign, while pigments and translucent resin recreate oxidised flesh, bruising and moisture. Holes and exposed metal interrupt the illusion and reveal the discarded structure beneath.
