Sardinia Crane is a monumental site-specific commission created by Scoobafish for GEMA’s private industrial premises in Berchidda, Sardinia.

Painted organic layers spread across the architecture like geological strata, gradually moving from pale tones into deep reds and black. Emerging from this surface, a fabricated steel crane projects physically beyond the wall and transforms the mural into a sculptural intervention.

The work responds directly to the identity and function of the site. Industrial materials, lifting structures and construction processes become part of the visual language, while the layered composition connects the building to the forms, colours and terrain of Sardinia.

Rather than treating the façade as a neutral support, Sardinia Crane incorporates its corners, pipes, openings and proportions into a single architectural artwork.

COMMISSION A SITE-SPECIFIC INTERVENTION
Sardinia Crane was developed as a unique response to the architecture, identity and working environment of its location.
New commissions are conceived through dialogue with private clients, companies and architects. Each project is developed specifically for its site and may combine painting, reclaimed materials, sculpture and architectural elements.
Scale, materials, structural requirements, installation, timing and budget are defined individually for every project.
