Sliced Kiwi enlarges the cross-section of a kiwi until its familiar interior becomes an almost abstract radial composition. The act of cutting exposes a structure that normally remains hidden: pale flesh, dark seeds and translucent green pulp arranged around a luminous centre.
Rather than depicting decay or abandonment, the work focuses on the moment when an intact natural object becomes food ready for consumption. A circular decommissioned traffic sign provides the industrial body of the fruit, while pigments and translucent resin recreate its colour, moisture and internal geometry. Organic irregularity and manufactured precision remain visibly in tension.
