Yummy presents a sliced orange whose bright colour and juicy appearance are interrupted by spreading mould. The cheerful title becomes deliberately ironic: an image associated with freshness and pleasure reveals the first signs of becoming inedible.

By exposing the fruit’s interior, the work focuses on the fragile boundary between attraction and rejection. A decommissioned traffic sign forms the industrial body of the sculpture, while pigments and translucent resin recreate citrus flesh, moisture and fungal decay. What initially appears appetising becomes increasingly unsettling as the viewer moves closer.
